It was a gorgeous, sunny day so Justin & I decided to stop by the duck pond to feed the ducks and geese.

The kids got to do some rock observations today and they loved it.

The highlight of today: Getting our new pencil sharpener so I could sharpen all the pencils lol.

I'm engaged! The picture doesn't do the ring justice. It really sparkles in the light and it complements the pearl ring Justin got me last Christmas. He did a great job! :)

The kids were supposed to write a rough draft of their cause/effect poster in their writing journal. I was walking around to read what each student wrote, and the last one I read was this one. I thought it was the cutest thing ever!

I went to Spirited Art with a group of teachers from FPS and these were the masterpieces we created. It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back :)

Tonight was the first night of our new book club. We met at Hard Knox to get ideas for books we want to read, and we came up with a plan for the next 3 months. First up: P.S. I Love You for the month of February. Should be fun!

This was the kids' first day back, and it was hard getting back into the routine today. It was kind of a rough morning with a couple of kids crying and a couple complaining really often about pains but then I got this note on my desk and it made me smile :)

Day 5

It was back to work today. It started snowing a little after 2 p.m. and by the time I got home at 3:45 the ground was covered. Stitch was sitting in the window looking at the big flakes falling :)

A lazy day watching the 1st season of Lost...I'm hooked on this show!

My mom, sister, and I went to Moe's for lunch and then stopped by to take a picture of the Henley Street Bridge. It closed yesterday for reconstruction.
